continuing the saga of the jedi exile, star wars: knights of the old republic ii: the sith lords took us to a galaxy far, far away and featured many new characters and areas. new to the gameplay was the ability to create your own character and customize everything from your appearance to your skills. the choice of skills is limited, but the graphics, sounds, and atmosphere of the game are stellar.
the first star wars game, star wars: jedi knight, was a blast to play and star wars: knights of the old republic was even better. however, it wasnt until star wars: knights of the old republic ii: the sith lords that the series became truly innovative. the decision to give you the opportunity to create your own character, for example, was a stroke of genius. the ability to go between third and first person while fighting also made combat an exciting new experience. the story wasn't as compelling as the first two games, but it still featured a lot of great characters and places. and the ability to play an intelligent, morally ambiguous jedi or sith was also a breath of fresh air. the graphics are still amazing, and the combat is still fantastic. the only reason the sith lords didnt take this spot is that it was released too late in the trilogy.
the star wars board game series by cryptic studios is better than the movies its based on. theyve even created their own intellectual property in the form of star wars: scavenger hunt. the first game was fun, but this sequel has a lot more stuff to do, explore, and learn about. the whole concept of collecting mission cards and using them to complete puzzles is awesome. the deep space level is the best in the series so far, and the clone wars level is a blast to play. 3d9ccd7d82
